Clear Square Scallop Purse

Here's my entry for the Crafters Anonymous April Mini Challenge.
For this challenge, it had to have "sewing" on it and could be any medium at all - which meant it did not have to be a card, 3-D item, or even a scrapbook page!

LOL...I decided I would give sewing a go - nothing like a challenge, and I also decided I would just "wing it" so to speak and make it as I went...... here is the outcome.......

I am quite happy with it and it makes a great Tool Wallet for classes.

Never know, I just may type up a Tutorial for a Big Shot class later in the year.

Be sure to come back Wednesday Evening to check out the Stampin' Up! Deals of the Week.

If you wish to contact me, you can email me at craftfusion@live.com.au to place an order, or ask about becoming a part of my Stampin' Up! family - I'd love to welcome you into my team.

Square Scallop Journal

Thought it was about time I started to make some of the many Tutorials I have gathered by joining various groups.
Another Task is to actually print them all off and put into folders (at some stage).

The one I have chosen to share with you tonight is from U Stamp With Dawn & Friends - Hey Big Shot 2010. The Designer is Natasha Zandbergen. I did change the colours and I did leave off the leaves.

I thought these would make great Mothers Day presents - so I made up two in alternating colours.

Colours used are Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White.
The stamp set is Elements of Style.

I'm pretty pleased with how they have turned out and I just love the Bird stamp in this set.

If you wish to contact me, you can email me at craftfusion@live.com.au to place an order, or ask about becoming a part of my Stampin' Up! family - I'd love to welcome you into my team.

Friend Suspension Card

WOW - we had 41 people doing the online class at Crafters Anonymous tonight.

And what a fantastic night for all the first timers !!!!

Tia taught us how to make this fabulous Suspension Card.

I had always thought these cards would be fiddly and time consuming to make - how wrong was I !!

I have used Very Vanilla cardstock, Sweet & Sour DSP, Pumpkin Pie 5/8" Satin Ribbon and the sentiment is from the new You're A Gem stamp set in the current Mini.

If you wish to contact me, you can email me at craftfusion@live.com.au to place an order, or ask about becoming a part of my Stampin' Up! family - I'd love to welcome you into my team.

ANZAC Day - Lest We Forget.

In memory of my Husband's Father's Uncle killed in Action in World War I, 7th June,1917.
Cpl.Henry Morgan Jones
Aged 22
This photo was taken in France just 11 days (on the 27th May, 1917) before he was killed in action.
He was laid to rest in the Strand Military Cemetery in Belgium.

Let us pause and remember the ultimate sacrifice these young men gave for not only our Country, but those of others as well. As many men and women in our forces are still doing today.

Lest We Forget.

Happy Easter Everyone

A belated Happy Easter to you all.

I trust you all had a great Easter and the Easter Bunny was as generous at your house as he was at ours - if not, sorry, he must of left yours here...LOL..hope it wasn't the Peppermint Dove ones....hmmmmm were they nice !!!!

I thought I would share with you how we spent our Good Friday ..... what an absolute laugh I had.
By the end of the day, not only was I a Business owner, but I now had a Silent Partner (who doesn't know how to be silent !!! LOL), a Sales Rep, a Branch Manager, a Marketing Manager, an R & D person and a Quality Control guy.......LOL.....what a fantastic family I have who truly support me with my crafting efforts.......xx

My Husband and Step-Father with their production line in full swing.

Still all smiles when it was all done.

A selection of the finished products.

The main aim was to make up 12 of the plastic Flower Tealights (top right) for my cousin's Daughter's Engagement Party.
With that done, we then had to make up the Tin ones as well, and the R&D department felt that because it was Easter - the Marketing Manager should have the Sales Rep sell these off as a great Easter gift....LOL....so they hot glued the eggs to them.
Seriously, don't let the men in your life loose with a hot glue gun!!!

Didn't they do a great job !!!!
I was in charge of the Big Shot, but the men did the rest, even down to colour co-ordinating the eggs.

Easter Treat Card

My last Easter Gift to make for this year is for my Mother In Law.

I decided to make a Treat Card for the Lindt Chocolate Balls I bought her.

I used Daffodil Delight Card Stock and retired Tea Party DSP, the stamp set is from the Winter Mini Easter Blossoms.

Crafters Anonymous Name Badge

A current challenge at Crafters Anonymous is to make a badge for Convention which advertises we are a member of CA.

What a fabulous idea as I would not know the other ladies without them, as I have only actually meet two of them in person - that will change in few weeks time at Convention of course !!!!!!

Here is my Badge and I will wear it with pride (if I can pin it on straight !!!!)

You may have noticed that I purposely stuck to my Old Olive / Rich Razzleberry theme from my Blog.
I have also used my cupcake siggy which is unique to me and I love it !!!

The Victoria Crochet Trim Ribbon is still available on our SU Carryover Flyer from the Winter Mini - doesn't it make a gorgeous Rosette with the Rich Razzleberry Taffeta Ribbon. And yes, I used three punches.

Scripture Tea Bag Holders

Doing my normal Blog Surfing, I came across some "TEA"  words with corresponding Scriptures on Janet Wakelands blog. They are under the heading "Keep God a Priori-Tea"

I immediately thought how perfect they would be for my Mothers Church group.
These are the ones I created tonight to show Mum tomorrow.

I have used the new Morning Cup Stamp Set which just suits this to a tee.

Easter Pillow Boxes

Last minute Easter Gifts for the 4 men that I work with - yes, I am the only woman at my place of work......

Yes, I know there are 5 pillows there....LOL......we have our National Manager with us tomorrow, so thought I had better make him one also.

Aren't they just a great size for a small gift. I have used all current cardstock, but used this opportunity to use up some of my retired ribbon.  I have also used 2 of the stamps from the new Eat Chocolate Stamp Set available in the current Mini Catalogue. Again, a great everyday stamp set, but especially good for Easter and Christmas.

Pillow Box Bag

Ok, hands up if you know what tonight was ?????

Yes, Crafters Anonymous Online Class........ my regular blog hoppers would know how much I enjoy these classes. Tonight's class was taught by the very talented Julia Leece. These classes not only teach me a wonderful new project to share with you all, but the friendships gained and fun we have is just fantastic.

Unlike my ability to follow instructions at times.....LOL....somehow my template just wanted to print out in a wee version (not the only one, thanks to Theresa on telling me how to enlarge !!).

Anyway, Julia taught us how to create the wonderful bows, and then the pillowbox bag.
The smaller bag is inspired by Karen Lister who decided to make the smaller version with a smaller bow as well. Since I had the smaller template, I thought I would make one as well - minus the bow. Just as lovely I think.

I have used Cherry Cobbler Cardstock and Jolly Holiday DSP, and considering I had no idea what we were making, the end results have turned out very nice for Mother's Day or Christmas !!!! And did you spot my punches !!!!

You know, if you would like to join in the fun and make some new friends, send me an email and I will get an invitation sent to your inbox, or, click on the sidebar to the left.

If you wish to contact me, you can email me at craftfusion@live.com.au to place a Stampin' Up! order, or ask about becoming a part of my Stampin' Up! family - I'd love to welcome you into my team.

With Love & Caring Card

I made a start on my Team Swap cards for Convention next month as I had already made 20 but found out we need 24. I decided I would make something else instead and give the others away in the general swap.

Well, in my head it was going to be amazing !!!!
In reality, I'm not happy enough with it to give as a Team Swap.
I am happy to say I have designed another card that I am happy with, but you will have to wait until after Convention next month to see that one.

I have used Pink Pirouette and Basic Black cardstock with two new stamps sets from the current mini - Strength and Hope, Thanks for Caring.
I am happy with how it turned out overall, but just felt it lacked something.
I think it does however make a lovely sympathy card.

Easter Swap

Over at Crafters Anonymous, we paired up with swap partners for Easter.

The Main Three rules were:
Rule 1: Item MUST contain Chocolate
Rule 2: It can be any medium
Rule 3: It must be in a bag or box
We also needed to ensure it was Handmade and had a Matching Card.

I was paired up with Tia and I must show you how spoilt I was:

What an absolutely wonderful set !!! Tia just happened to use my favourite DSP which is an added bonus!!

Now I'm guessing you are wondering if I spoilt her too !!!!!, LOL....Here's my swap to Tia, let me know what you think

I have another swap coming up in June - 12 Days of Winter which see's me paired up Anne this time. I now have 8 of the days done. You will definitely want to come back in June each day to see those as I will post both Anne's and my gifts for those days.

Cupcake Delight's

Ok, so we know what happens on Monday night's don't we ???

We have our online class at Crafters Anonymous which saw Dee teaching us how to create these gorgeous little Cupcake delights.

I can't show you the other ladies, but I can tell you how different the other 27 ladies were to mine.
Incredible and soooooo much fun - well, apart from having the papersnips fall point first on my foot!!!

I have a feeling I will be making more of these for Mothers Day this year.

Crafting with my girl !!

Isn't it just great when one of your children take an interest in your hobby (or obsession !!)

Laura asked if we could create something on Saturday afternoon while it was just the two of us at home.
Here's what we came up with and Laura in the process of the stages.

We made these Trinket Boxes with the Fox & Friends Stamp Set. It is such a fun set for kids (and young ladies). The cardstock is Chocolate Chip, Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, Garden Green and Whisper White.
Laura was absolutely rapped that she got to use the Big Shot by herself. It was actually pretty funny when she didn't get her hand out of the way in time and the handle hit her on her first go. We've all been there. She actually said to me "it would have been nice if you warned me about that!", anyway, she wasn't hurt, and she was pretty pleased with her boxes.
She was mentioning something about putting her DS games in them, which is certainly something different and not altogether such a bad idea, giving that her room and desk looks like mine....LOL....yes, she is my daughter after all.

A different view of Easter

I came across this cute bunny on  Kim Score's blog whilst surfing the net during the week, and just had to make some for this Easter.

Aren't they just gorgeous!!! My daughter asked me where their faces were? I told her it was the Easter Bunnies Rear End as he was hopping away with her eggs !!!! LOL

These ones are my Adult ones - Yummy Caramel Hot Chocolate satchel and M&M's in a skinny tube ...... just made the tube abit taller and left the lid off. They are also my Thank You Gift for orders placed with me this month.

If you wish to contact me, you can email me at craftfusion@live.com.au to place an order, book a workshop, or ask about becoming a part of my Stampin' Up! family - I'd love to welcome you into my team.

Crafters Anonymous Monday Night Class

OMG - what a challenge I found tonight's class - had more than a few seniors moments for sure.
Had 5 goes before I finally worked out what I was doing wrong.......you should see the mountain of reject cardstock sitting beside me...LOL...even had a few visits from hubby wondering what the noise was !!!

Happy to say I did finish it off and think it turned out ok. Added the bling to add some life, and lets face it, when you aren't feeling the best, nothing puts a smile on your face like a little bling! or chocolate of course.
The Flower vase is from the new mini - Level 1 Hostess Set A Slice of Life. Host a workshop or place an order over $300.00 and the set is yours for FREE. The sentiment is from Word Play.

Want to have fun learning this delightful embossing technique? book a workshop today and I promise you will do it in one go!

Ok, off to tidy up my craft area and decide what to make from my reject pile!!

Accordion Book Album

This is the Accordion Book Album I made my Mother In Law for her Birthday - at 83 she really doesn't need much, and she loves the hand crafted items I make for her ( at least she says she does...LOL).

This re-creation was inspired by UStamp with Dawn & Friends!! Big Shot Brilliance 2011 and the tutorial is by the very talented Kirsten Brown.
The flower is made by using the owl punch and the scallop punch - don't look too close as it was my first attempt and there certainly is room for improvement!!!

Digital Scrapbooking

Thought I would have a go at Digital scrapbooking.

This is my first attempt and I am pretty pleased with it.
Whilst I did enjoy it (no, really, I did, eventually!!) I will still be doing my pages the good old fashioned way by using papercraft tools.

Rob's eldest brother John came down from Bundaberg and we took mum out for Dinner to celebrate her turning 83 on Monday. It is not too often now that the four children are together.

Anyway, I did do another page (before I forgot how) and added some extra touches, but it doesn't want to load. Could be that this one is a 8x8 page and the other a 12x12 page. Anyhows, another thing to keep me busy trying to figure out.
