Crafters Anonymous Monday Night Class

What a great class at Crafters Anonymous tonight - must say, from the list of what to have ready, I really thought we were making an Album of some sort, so chose Masculine Colours.
Tia Routledge taught the class and we made these stunning drawers.

LOL...ok, so mine aren't stunning, don't know what happened with that middle drawer ?????, but it's another "one of a kind" and I do look forward to making more. By the way, I think my masculine colours turned out great too.

Let me know if you'd like to make your own and we can organise an enjoyable fun workshop.

Lattice Wallet and Card

I made this Birthday Card and Wallet ( holding a Chocolate Frog inside) for my Mother In Law's birthday next week. I have also made a little Accordion Photo Album, which I will post later on in the week.

This re-creation was inspired by UStamp with Dawn & Friends!! Big Shot Brilliance 2011 and the tutorial is by the very talented Paula Dobson!! I have changed it abit to suit  my needs.
Remember the Rose Brooch?, that was another of Paula's designs.

I so enjoy these tutorials as you can tell if you are a regular visitor to my blog.

Want to join in the fun?
You can .... go to http://www.ustampwithdawnandfriends.com/ and join up.

I look forward to seeing your creations.

Presto DSP Scrap Page

I decided that I should try out my Presto Patterns DSP before the end of March in case I wanted to buy more.

The DSP is all white, with a clear glossy design that shows up when you sponge, brayer or spritz your ink over it. I decided to sponge Concord Crush with Rich Razzleberry on the main page, and Blushing Bride on the second matt piece.

I found this old picture of me at 7 months of age waiting for the plane back to Brisbane from the Dunedin Airport with mum and my Step-Nana. (Mum said it was June 1967). It's funny to look back on old photo's as I had thought I had only met granddad's wife the once when I visited them in Dunedin in 1982, but this photo clearly shows we had met before! LOL
I had a closer look at it and had to laugh at the huge glass bottle and rubber teat - almost looked like they stuck a teat on the milk bottle.....and Mum absolutely loved seeing that fluffy hat she had on!

Retirement Card

I was asked to make a Retirement Card for one of my Mum's best friends in England.
Being put on the spot, so to speak, this is the card I came up with.

The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments and the bird from the Elements of Style, which I stamped off the imagine on the inside for a softer look.
I am very happy with how it turned out and can see me making some more of these cards with different sentiments.

Sewers Handbag

Monday night again already ...... Anne Brignall taught tonights Online Class at Crafters Anonmyous and the end result was this gorgeous handbag that fits a small stamp set, or box of Roses. Gotta love that!

I was going fine during the class until near the end...LOL...I somehow missed one of the instructions, but managed to have it turn out right....there are of course no accidents with papercrafts, just one of a kind designs. Hope you like mine !!

I have given you another sneak peak of some new stamps. Any dressmaker in the family will love this set.

March Scrap Page

Here's my March page for Crafters Anonymous 12 Months of The Year group.

Only 1 day separates my Step Father Geoff and my daughter Laura's birthday. They have always had a special bond since the day she was born. Fittingly, I did a joint page as both had milestone birthdays this year. I now have to admit that with double digits to her age, she is no longer my baby! On the plus side, she is now developing into a lovely young woman.
I still have a page to do with her gorgeous cake, but will get to that later.

How good does that Bliss Flourish look as a focal point to their ages !!!
I am loving this stamp set for scrap pages.

Haven't got your FREE Bliss Stamp Set yet? You know what you need to do, but you better be quick as it ends 31st March.

Thinking Of You

With only 1 1/2 weeks to go until the end of Sale-A-Bration, I thought I would make some clean simple cards using one of the FREE stamp sets.

I made a set of 3 - all Brights - Tangerine Tango, Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry.

Using the So Happy For You set, I placed the Thinking of You stamp with the Butterfly trail on the one Clear Block - this allowed me to ink and stamp it once, meaning it was exactly the same on the cards and envelopes. Oh so easy with the clear mount stamps.

Crafters Anonymous Monday Night Class - Star Box

What a great class tonight was at Crafters Anonymous - we had a record 25 people join in and alot of fun was had by all.
Rebekah Kaberry showed us how to make this cool Star Box. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised that it did end up a Star and actually fit into one another.

Yes, just happened to have some chocolate floating around my craft room. LOL....and who doesn't ???

A sneak peak of one of the new stamps and punches in the new Mini. The DSP is from the Greenhouse Gala pack.

Chocolate Flower Table Setting

Thought I would share with you a photo I've just been emailed showing the Chocolate Flowers I made at Christmas for one of my Mothers group's. They put one on each place setting, with a beautiful Christmas poem.

There was 40 of them all up. A special treat for them all.
I'm so glad to have seen the photo as they really do look so nice, and it's great hearing that everyone loved them.

All you need to make your own is some nice DSPOrnamental Punch, 1 3/8 Circle Punch and some Adhesive Glue..
All of which I can help you with.

Ikea Fun Scrap Page

I had taken these photo's with my phone camera, and was surprised how clear they turned out when I printed them off.
I can't recall exactly when these were taken, but I think it was around September last year, so decided to have some fun creating this page.

My two kids enjoyed the day at IKEA going through the kids section - must admit, I did disown them both at one stage, but they caught up with me again....LOL, just in time for ice cream!!

This page has a sneak peak of a couple of button stamps from the new mini....... I really like the SAB Flourish Stamp form the Bliss Set. How good does it look using the Rock N Roll Technique? And I have it stamped over the diamonds from the Grunge Rock Stamp Set in the current Summer Mini.

Remember, once Sale-A-Bration is over, the 4 stamps sets will not make a reappearance, so if you want this set, and it is a great set if you are into Scrapbooking, you only have until 31st March.

Square Scallop Die Birthday Card's

I made this birthday card for my Step Father - must say he loved the card but really loved the suitcase I made him - and the Coconut Ice inside of it !!!
I'm afraid I cannot remember where I got the idea for this card from, so I do apologise for not giving the person credit. Please let me know if it was you.

And this is the card I made for Laura - had to have Hello Kitty on it of course.

The Square Scallop Die on the first card is from the current Summer Mini, and the Square Scallop Die on the second card is a sneak peek from the new Autumn-Winter mini Catalogue starting 1st April.
The WISH BIG sentiment is from the new Word Play Stamp Set.  Very nice and appropriate to put on a 10 year old's card.

3 more weeks left to order from the Summer Mini, so if you like the idea of the Square Scallop card, get your order in soon.

I will be posting out the advanced copies of the new Autumn-Winter mini next week, so if you are not on my mailing list already and don't have a current SU Demo, drop me line with postage details and I shall get you added so you don't miss out !!

Laura's 10th Birthday Cake

Ok, just had to show you this great cake I bought today for Laura's birthday - 10 years today she decided to welcome us with her presence - 9 days early and now always late - go figure.....LOL.....must say I would be lost without her and definitely proud to be her mum.

OMG .... it was just the best! Lucky for the rest of the family Laura isn't a cake person, so she only wanted  the nose and strawberry tongue herself. Woohoo I got the bone - hmmmmmmm pure chocolate !!!!
Don't worry though, Laura as per usual was spoilt with presents and quite happy - even took Chubba Chup lolly pops to school for everyone.

This months Scrap Page is of her again with her Gran Gran who turned 70 yesterday. They share a special bond which is a great thing.  So you will have to check in later this month to see what I come up with for them.

Flower Folds Roses

Earlier this year, I showed you the Bigz Flower Folds Tealight holders I made with recycled soft drink cans and milk bottles.
At the time, we had no chocolate centre to place on the plastic one (obviously I wasn't at my house...LOL), but now I have a gorgeous Real Red Rose using the Large Scallop Punch.

Those that know me well, know I don't DO flowers, so when I was asked to make 6 of these, but with a RED ROSE for the centre, I was abit unsure. I am happy to say, that I am quite pleased with how they have turned out! I believe they are to be used as a table decoration, which should look fabulous.

Look out for later in the year when I have my Big Shot Class - we just may be making one of these for your table.

How many Easter Bunnies can you make?

Well, I have just finished my 65th in two weeks. Phew!

Luckily for me they are already sold (now attached to their respective Chocolate Sliders), because as much as I think they are so cute, I hate to say it, but I am just a little bit over them for this year.
LOL.....I think I will be counting Bunnies in my sleep tonight!

Want to make your own ..... you know you do! Ask me about them and I'll let you know how.

Tea Bag Folder

While doing up a little Care Pack for fellow Crafters Anonymous member Janet, I wanted to give her some Tea Bags in a bit of style.....Chocolate and Tim Tams stayed in packets.
I came across this Folder a while back on Erica Crewin's blog and decided that it was perfect as it allowed me to make a card and have 3 Tea Bags at the same time.

I have used two of the Sale-A-Bration Stamp Sets from the four you get to choose from.
The two I used are Sweet Summer on the front, and So happy For You inside.

Can you believe it is Autumn already!!! Summer has ended, but not the Summer Mini Catalogue.
Spend $100.00 before postage and you get to choose a free Stamp Set like the two above.
For every $100.00, you get to choose another set. Ends 31st March, so if you think these should be in your craft room, don't leave it too late.

All orders can get sent straight to your door, anywhere in Australia.

I accept direct deposit (email me for account details) for payment or you can pay by credit card (payments  have to reach me by 5pm on Tuesday 30th March to enable me to order by end of March).
